We are looking for a Senior Strategic Buyer
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
* Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across indirect categories within the Generali group, in particular related to Professional Services and BPO, and contribute to defined saving targets
* Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals and compliance standards, identifying cost reduction and optimization levers
* Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation, performance evaluation, and risk mitigation
* Establish effective communication with internal stakeholders (finance, legal, HR, Operations, etc) to collect project needs and align with them during the negotiation process
* Drive cost optimization and value creation through market intelligence and benchmarking
* Support contract management and ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures
* Monitor procurement KPIs and prepare regular reporting for senior stakeholders
* Develop effective presentations to explain sourcing strategies and Procurement achievements
Requirements
Education & Experience
* University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably in an international environment
* Experience in Consulting is a plus
Languages
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Fluent in German (written and spoken) at least B2
* other European Languages are a plus
Technical Skills
* Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management
* Proficient in procurement platforms (eg Ivalua)
* Familiarity with risk assessment and compliance frameworks
Soft Skills
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
* High attention to detail and ability to deliver under tight deadlines
* Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset
