Ph3Head of Music, India, Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios /h3 pWe are seeking a Music Executive (Head of Music, IN) to join the dynamic global music team for Amazon MGM Studios. This role manages a team and oversees all music needs associated with the Studios’ Original Series (Scripted and Unscripted) and Amazon Original Movies (AOM) across multiple Indian languages. This role will be an integral part to the global music team and will be located in Mumbai, India. You'll have experience in Movie music production and supervision, you will use your robust knowledge of music and your network of relationships in the entertainment and music industry in India to drive successful projects. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liOversee music supervision/curation of designated productions across languages on behalf of studio. /li liRead Scripts and coordinate with various internal external stakeholders to assess scope of music (songs + score) in screenplaysli /liliRecommend key music hires (music composers, supervisors, singer‑songwriters etc) as per the script requirement. /li liWork closely with internal stakeholders for management and tracking of music budgets, talent deals, scoring process, music delivery, and music licensing for designated productions. /li liUtilize a deep understanding of music licensing for film and TV to ensure success of projects. /li liManage and track music delivery requirements of projects as per the various milestones. /li liPartner effectively across internal divisions (Content development, Business Affairs, Production, Legal, Marketing, social media, Monetisation team etc.) and with external partners using excellent communication skills. /li liWork with music label partners in the region to seek wide release for soundtracks. /li liCollaborate with marketing teams to identify and develop music marketing opportunities for title promotions. /li liAssist marketing team with licensing/curating music for various marketing campaigns. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time /li liExperience managing teams /li liExperience in movies TV distribution/licensing /li li5+ years of music programming, music supervision, editorial, or AR experience /li liExperience working at a record label, artist management company, artist talent agency, or similar field within the music industry /li liMaster's degree or above /li li12+ years full time experience of working as a music supervisor at a film studio/tv production house or with a music composer or as an AR at a record label. /li liShould have a thorough understanding of India music business and music rights management. /li liShould be an avid music listener with a deep understanding of main stream and new age music. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liShould have a thorough understanding of India music business and music rights management. /li /ul pOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
