Role Purpose
As a Senior Safety Officer, you will be the operational point of reference for Safety Managers in the implementation and maintenance of the integrated Safety Management System (SMS) for our Part‐145 (Base & Line), CAMO, DOA, and POA organizations. Your mission will be to ensure the highest standard of operational safety, ensuring compliance with EASA regulations (including Part‐IS) and integration with the risk management requirements of the EN9100 standard.Main Responsibilities
- Safety Management System (SMS): Coordinate the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment process and monitor the effectiveness of mitigation actions.
- Occurrence Reporting: Manage the flow of internal and external reports, leading investigations to identify root causes and human factors.
- Information Security (Part‐IS): Support implementation of the Information Security Management System, monitoring threats and compliance with new EASA requirements.
- Safety Assurance & Auditing: Plan and execute safety audits and internal verifications, ensuring that operational processes are aligned with manuals and safety standards.
- Compliance & Documentation: Collaborate on the review and update of company manuals (MOE, CAME, DOH, POE) and SMS procedures, ensuring alignment between approvals.
- Reporting & Data Analysis: Develop Safety Performance Indicators (SPI) and relative targets (SPT), preparing analytical reports for the Safety Board and Competent Authorities.
- Promotion of Safety Culture: Design and conduct training sessions and workshops on Human Factors and Safety, actively promoting a reporting culture.
Qualifications
- 3‐5 years of experience in Safety or Quality roles within EASA‐regulated aviation organizations (preferably with a focus on helicopters or component/engine management).
- In‐depth knowledge of EASA Part‐145, Part‐CAMO, Part‐21 (J & G) regulations. Knowledge of Part‐IS is considered a strong added value.
- Mastery of risk analysis methodologies and incident investigation techniques for incidents/anomalies.
- Certification as an Internal Auditor (ISO19011 or EN9100) required. Familiarity with the AS/EN9100 standard is important.
- Thorough knowledge of Human Factors principles and the ability to positively influence the behavior of operational personnel.
- Excellent command of technical English.
- Proficiency with aviation management software and data analysis tools.
- High analytical capacity, decision‐making autonomy, and communication skills to interface with various departments (Maintenance, Engineering, Production, Design).
