Position Summary:
In the role of the Production Manager you will be accountable for operating the plants in compliance with the regulations in force and in operational conditions compared to the design of the equipment, the characteristics of the products and the safety limits of the processes.
You will be responsible for developing short-term strategies such as: productivity, usage reduction and efficiency increase.
Furthermore, you will manage & coach production personnel in line with current regulations, contractual rules and Corporate policies and objectives. You will foster employee engagement and evolving culture initiatives.

**Responsibilities**:
- Work with Supply Chain and Process to develop the production plan in order to maximize production volumes and plant efficiency
- Ensure that all equipment is handed to Maintenance or the technical office in all safety - in accordance with the LoTo PS-IV-2 procedure
- Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of existing plants and services, including emissions abatement systems
- Assume command of operations in emergency situations with the support of the Prevention and Protection Service, giving instructions to the emergency team (procedure PE-II-1 of the Plant Manual)
- Ensure that all operating procedures are available to workers, both operators and persons in charge (Shift coordinators, Supervisors), verifying that they are up-to-date, understood, and respected
- Verify that the five-year process safety reviews are carried out for each plant (PHA)
- Analyze the reports of accidents, near misses accidents, and dangerous conditions reported by the staff and organize working groups, in cooperation with the Process, aimed at resolving non-compliance and identifying preventive and corrective actions
- Ensure staff theoretical and practical training whenever changes are made to procedures in the event of job changes, and every three years; ensure that newly recruited personnel receive adequate training
- Foster employee engagement and evolving culture initiatives i.e. 5S, safety contact, exposure reduction, participation in incident investigations, MOC, Hazops
- Participate in risk assessment for entry into a confined space, as required by the PS-IV-5 procedure, in collaboration with Maintenance and EHS
- Act as Safety Manager (Dirigente per la sicurezza) (as stated in art.2 paragraph d of the d.Lgs. 81/2008) and must comply with legal obligations as stated in art.8 of the d.Lgs.81/2008 and s.m.i.
- Support, as a member of the site leadership team, all the aspects of the site’s quality programs, and sustaining improvements
- Support the implementation of the Global Quality Strategy with the ultimate goal of achieving a customer-centric quality program, mindset, and culture
**Profile**:
Basic qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering (University)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience running an operation and leading people
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant leadership experience in the Chemical Processing industry
- Highly Numerate and process driven
- Able to network with Business and Technical peers
- Strong EHS and Quality mindset
- Customer orientation
- Excellent communicative and people skills
- Fluent in Italian and English
Preferred qualifications:
- Working knowledge of general and cost accounting principles or the equivalence in combined education and experience
- Prior manufacturing experience in a process industry but also affinity for understanding the bigger picture (business)
- Ideally working experience in other countries
- Experience with Labor relations/negotiations
