Imperial Capital Group (Los Angeles, New York, London, Milan) provides institutional sales & trading, investment banking, capital markets, and restructuring advisory, specializing in complex and illiquid credit across the capital structure.
We’re expanding senior sell-side coverage across priority regions to originate and execute in High Yield, stressed/distressed, EM and special situations—on a riskless-principal basis. This is not IG/rates and not a sales-trader role.
AT1/CoCos, corporate hybrids; senior & subordinated financials; Venezuela/PDVSA, Argentina) where permitted by applicable laws, sanctions, and internal policies.
We’re looking for seasoned producers who turn differentiated ideas into revenue and deepen Tier-1 buy-side relationships—executing strictly within our regulatory permissions and compliance standards.
We are hiring 3 Senior Institutional Credit Sales (MD, individual contributor) roles. Priority markets:
Italy — Senior Sales covering Italy and Italian-speaking clients.
France / Francophone — Senior Sales covering France and other Francophone markets (e.g. Germany / German-speaking — Senior Sales covering Germany and other German-speaking markets (e.g. Location: All positions are based in Milan (hybrid). English language at professional level (C1+) is a must have while Italian language, even if not required for roles not covering Italian clients, is advantageous for on-site collaboration and considered a plus.
Own senior client coverage in your region; maintain and expand a network of real-money, hedge funds, private banks, and family offices.
Originate & close across HY, stressed/distressed bonds & loans, post-reorg situations; deploy hybrids & sub-Fins when accretive. Run your book: craft ideas with Trading & Research, set pricing, coordinate execution, and ensure clean, timely settlement—riskless-principal (this is not a sales-trader role).
Collaborate globally with colleagues in the UK/US to maximize cross-border idea flow and capital velocity.

Deep distribution to global institutional investors; Differentiated desk analysis focused on distressed & special sits; Sell-side prerequisite (broker-dealer / investment firm). 5+ years as senior institutional credit sales (exclude internship/analyst/associate years).
~ Languages: English at professional level (C1+). Plus one of Italian, French, or German aligned to your coverage. Italian is a plus for all roles (Milan base). Nordics/CEE languages are an advantage.
