WSP offers world-class expertise in contaminated site management, hydrogeology, risk assessment, remediation design, environmental due diligence and complex industrial projects. /p h3YOUR NEW ROLE, WHAT’S INVOLVED? /h3 pIn this role, you will perform environmental tasks requiring a solid understanding of environmental science and remediation engineering principles. You will work on specific portions of projects using established methods and procedures, supporting activities such as: /p h3Technical Design Documentation /h3 ul liSite Characterization Plans (soil, groundwater, soil-gas, waste, ambient air). /li liConceptual and Feasibility Studies and project technical deliverables. /li /ul ul liSupporting engineers developing calculations, simulations and preliminary analyses for remediation systems, including pump treat, SVE, air sparging, chemical oxidation, bioremediation, etc. /li liSupporting the preparation of Remediation Reports, technical specifications, bills of quantities and tender documents. /li /ul h3Field Activities Site Operations /h3 ul liSupporting site investigation campaigns: installation of piezometers, drilling supervision, sampling, soil-gas surveys, aquifer tests. /li liAssisting in the installation, commissioning, performance testing and OM of remediation systems. /li liConducting field verifications, progress monitoring and reporting. /li liSupporting due diligence on industrial facilities and brownfield/greenfield sites. /li /ul h3Modelling Environmental Assessment /h3 ul liContributing to Human Health Risk Assessment and contaminant fate transport modelling. /li liSupporting hydrological/hydrogeological modelling teams. /li liDrafting technical reports, environmental assessments and periodic project progress documents. /li /ul h3Coordination Collaboration /h3 ul liCoordinating with multidisciplinary technical teams (geology, hydrogeology, HS, permitting). /li liSupporting Project Managers with scheduling, project controls and quality assurance. /li liProviding technical direction to junior professionals on specific tasks. /li liMaintaining high-quality work within scope, schedule and budget. /li /ul pKey expectations include following through on commitments, ensuring accuracy in calculations, practicing safe work habits, communicating effectively, taking on a wide variety of tasks, and being open to feedback. You will also be encouraged to build a professional network across the business to support workload and career growth. /p h3WHAT IF IT WAS YOU? /h3 pCandidate should have 3-5 maximum years of experience as Geologist in environmental consulting, preferably focused on contaminated site investigation, remediation design and environmental modelling. /p h3QUALIFICATIONS /h3 ul liSignificative experience with site investigation/remediation/OM activities. /li liAbility to conduct field campaigns and interact with contractors and laboratories. /li liUnderstanding of hydrogeology, geochemistry, and remediation technologies. /li liGood knowledge of Human Health Risk Assessment, modelling tools and environmental data interpretation. /li liDirect experience with D.Lgs. 152/2006 e s.m.i., including Part IV, Title V (bonifiche). /li liExperience in drafting technical reports, analyses and project documentation. /li liExperience in due diligence and environmental compliance is a plus. /li liExperience and ability to work on several projects simultaneously under time pressure. /li liAttention to details. /li /ul pKnowledge and direct experience in supervision of characterization and remediation site activities.
