Inside the Technology & Innovation - New Mission Design Area in Rome, we are looking for a Space Mission Designer & Developer. The selected candidate will be included in the Telespazio Technology & Innovation team responsible for the following main activities: Analysis, Design and Modelling of Innovative Space Missions Trade-offs between promising space technologies applicable to the missions of interest Simulation and Proof of Concepts of the innovative space solutions AR/VR/MR Interactive Simulations Support to the End2End system development Degree and Seniority: Degree/PhD in Telecommunication or Aerospace engineering – Intermediate Technical skills and IT tools: RF Payload Architecture: deep understanding of transponders, High Power Amplifiers (TWTA/SSPA), frequency converters, and complex antenna systems (e.g., Active Phased Arrays and Beamforming) relevant to satellite, spacecraft and ground terminals Link Budget Analysis: Mastery of calculating the Eb/N0 considering atmospheric loss, rain fade, and cosmic interference Standards & Protocols: Expertise in DVB-S2X for high-throughput data, CCSDS and SD
