Our client, a globally recognized leader in food processing solutions, is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in food machinery manufacturing to manage complete projects for capital equipment production lines. This role requires hands-on experience managing full project lifecycles, from concept to completion, with a particular focus on food production machinery. You will report directly to the Project Director and oversee the execution of large-scale projects across various stages.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage project plans, defining scope, deliverables, and timelines
Ensure seamless coordination between engineering, production, and client teams
Monitor project progress, proactively identifying and mitigating risks
Oversee installation and commissioning at customer sites
Serve as the primary contact for customers, ensuring strong relationship management
Facilitate key project meetings, including kick-off, status updates, site surveys, and close-out
Manage project budgets and drive cost-saving initiatives
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
Implement continuous improvement strategies and best practices
Profile
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (minimum), with formal Project Management training
At least 5 years of experience managing complete projects within the food machinery manufacturing sector, including full production lines and capital equipment.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile preferred)
Proven ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Skills & Knowledge
Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and execution
Strong budgeting, cost control, and financial oversight skills
Excellent risk management and problem-solving abilities
Ability to drive collaboration across internal and external stakeholders
Languages
Fluent in English
Proficiency in French or Dutch is an advantage
This is an on-site position based in Sint Niklaas, Flemish Region, Belgium.
