Ph3Overview /h3p2025 sees MoneyGram Haas F1 Team celebrate its tenth season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. We’re just getting started and we don’t follow the status quo. We’re here to challenge the competition, and we want you to join us. /ppThe first American Formula 1 team to compete in the sport since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team made an immediate impression with a memorable points-scoring debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Nine years later, the team continues to demonstrate growth and a clear direction with its future objectives – coming off the back of its second-best season to-date in Formula 1. /ppWe’re a racing team – not a corporate machine. We have three HQs – Kannapolis in the US, Banbury in the UK and Maranello in Italy – each powered by passionate, loyal and hardworking team ambassadors. At MoneyGram Haas F1 Team – known within the paddock as the ‘family team’ – you’ll be involved in many different areas of the team, have much wider visibility across the business, and will be able to clearly see your contribution to our team. /ppYes, you’ll learn from us, but we expect to learn from you too! /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliPromote teamwork and effective communications to develop trustworthy relationships between all personnel and departments. /liliMentor, train and guide personnel as required. Develop staff using effective performance reviews and development plans. /liliOther duties as assigned by the Deputy Chief Designer Structure or their designee. /li /ulh3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliActivity consists of structural analysis and optimization of the car components in order to guarantee solutions with minimum weight, adequate reliability and safety, reaching at the same time the required stiffness targets. /liliDevelopment of methodologies and documentation, and provide support in improving the future technical capability of the structures group. /liliMethods used are hand-calculations, Finite Element Analysis (both linear and non-linear), software Structural Optimization (topological, shape, composite laminate, etc.), automation method, analysis and correlation of experimental data through scripting and programming. /liliInvolved components cover both Mechanical field (wheel groups, inboard suspensions, transmission etc.) and Composite area (chassis, gearbox, wings, bodywork, suspensions etc.). /liliDevelopment and improvement of analysis methods within the group. /liliMentoring and development of junior group members, to improve their technical capability. /liliFollow all safety regulations in all venues. /liliOversee the ad hoc projects as assigned. /li /ulh3Education and Work Experience /h3ulliMaster’s degree in Aeronautic, Automotive, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. /lili10 years of work experience, 7 of which must be in a professional motorsport environment. /li /ulh3Specialized Knowledge and Skills /h3ulliAbility to supervise others, communicate effectively, and liaise with fellow workers to get desired results. /liliCapable of working in a team environment to a very high standard and a positive work attitude. /liliStrong communication skills, written and verbal. /liliHave an excellent understanding of English language. /liliStrong technical background in racing car. /liliWork to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations. /liliQuick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way. /liliWork well within a team environment with personnel at all levels. /liliA sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment. /liliA can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential. /li /ulh3Equipment and Applications /h3ulliCAD System: Catia V5 (just basic function). /liliHyperWorks/Optistruct. /liliAbaqus CAE/Abaqus. /liliDesign Studio/Genisis. /liliMatlab/Python. /li /ulh3Work Environment Physical Demands /h3pAn ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends. /ppThis position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids.
