Position Summary
Based in our Perugina factory and part of the Quality team, you will provide technical expertise as a Quality Specialist to resolve internal and external quality defects. You will lead food safety management programs and facilitate quality improvement initiatives.
A Day in the Life of a Factory Quality Assurance Specialist
* Ensure food safety management system documentation is updated and effective. Assess the Nestlé Food Safety Management System to ensure it is in place and achieving expected results.
* Promote quality awareness across the company by delivering training in areas such as hygiene, foreign body control, HACCP, pest control, and cleaning validation. Act as Hygiene Champion to promote GMP standards factory-wide.
* Implement specific quality procedures, instructions, and tools related to your area of concern, such as pathogen monitoring.
* Ensure consumer complaints, especially foreign body complaints, are properly evaluated and addressed to prevent re-occurrence.
* Provide risk assessment analysis. Manage issues with non-conforming products to ensure proper control, minimize losses, and meet consumer expectations. Conduct root cause analyses for quality and food safety stock holds, disposals, and complaints. Implement robust corrective actions to reduce or eliminate re-occurrence.
* Coordinate management changes to prevent food safety risks at the site.
What Will Make You Successful?
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
* At least 3 years of experience as a Quality Specialist in a food manufacturing environment.
* Fluent in Italian and English.
* Experience analyzing and interpreting complex data to drive improvements.
* Prior experience working with Food Safety Management Systems.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
* Proficiency in SAP is preferred.
