Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Configuration Management & Maintenance Support Specialist in Pratica di Mare, Airbase, Rome Italy. The successful candidate shall be a self-starter, highly motivated with excellent communication skills.Position ResponsibilitiesAnalyze SB/AD/PTA for applicability and material/manpower required in order to update the Maintenance Plan and plan the related incorporation on the fleet.Participate to the routine coordination meeting with the engineering to review Service Bulletin, AD and PTA applicable to the FleetIn collaboration with the Configuration management group, review the Maintenance Plan Document to update the Fleet Maintenance PlanCollaborate to the elaboration of the Configuration Management documentation for the Italy Tanker FleetUtilize disciplined technical expertise & company knowledge (not limited to SB/SL) to assist the customer to achieve & sustain a high level of proficiency in the operation and maintenance of the KC767A by investigating product reliability, determine root cause analysis by developing, coordinating and recommending appropriate corrective actionsSupport the planning of the Short- and Long-Term Maintenance Plan for the Italy Tanker FleetElaborate vectors to communicate technical inquiry to Italy Tanker Fleet Support Engineering or Logistic EngineeringAssist the customer in interpreting and using the appropriate Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), interpreting servicing and maintenance support proceduresAct as the on-site technical liaison between Boeing Maintenance Engineering and the on-site Boeing PDM Configuration ManagementBasic Qualifications3+ Years Airline Engineering experience in support of the Continuing Airworthiness of the Fleet3+ years of Understanding of Maintenance Plan Document, Aircraft Service Bulletins, FAA Airworthiness Directives’ and Service lettersPreferred Qualifications/Experience and Person SpecificationExperience in reading and interpreting engineering and maintenance technical information (REDARS is a plus)Work effectively and cooperatively with the team, managers, and members of others work groups; establish and maintain good working relationshipsProficient in Microsoft Office suiteFluency in English both written and spokenMust be willing to work flexible hours as the job requiresWilling to get qualified as Supervisor for tank entryFamiliar with Boeing 767 aircraft AMM, IPC and MTCFamiliarity with Boeing web-based Information Systems such as: My Boeing Fleet, and a technical inquiry request systems (BCS, Vector)Experience with the KC-767 TankerBelonging to “Categorie Protette” L.68/99 art.1Important information regarding this roleThis role is a locally hired position and candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in Italy.Boeing will not attempt to obtain immigration and / or labour sponsorship for any applicants.
