This is a leadership role with full responsibility for site performance, safety, compliance, people management, and operational excellence. You will be the reference point for all activities related to warehousing, bulk operations, blending, filling, production, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.\nWhat you’ll do\n\nLead and manage all site operations mainly based on warehousing of packed chemicals, while also including bulk storage, blending, filling, production activities.\nAct as employer’s delegate for Safety and Environmental matters and Seveso at site level (Legislative Decree 81/2008, 105/2015, 152/2006, Law 231/2001).\nEnsure full compliance with Safety, Environment, Quality, Sustainability, and SEVESO regulations and Univar group policies.\nOwn and drive site performance, KPIs, cost control, budget planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nOptimize stock levels, inbound & outbound flows, and operational efficiency in collaboration with Supply Chain and Transport departments.\nLead CAPEX proposals and implementation based on safety, environmental, and operational needs.\nManage, develop, and coach the site team, ensuring high engagement, performance, and capability growth.\nAct as main interface with authorities and public administrations (ARPA, ASL, INPS, INAIL, Labor Inspectorate, Guardia di Finanza, etc.).\nRepresent the company during inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions.\nEnsure correct management of dangerous goods, waste operations, UTF products, and major accident risk prevention.\nOversee training plans, safety drills, emergency response readiness, and compliance audits in collaboration with EHS and Quality departments.\nDrive improvements in quality, safety, environmental performance, and sustainability.\n\nWhat you’ll need\n\nBachelor’s degree in Operations or Logistics Management; preference will be given to candidates with degrees in technical or scientific fields such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering etc.\nMinimum 5 years’ experience in site, plant, warehouse, or operations management within chemical, industrial, logistic warehouse or regulated environments.\nKnowledge of Italian safety, environmental, and SEVESO regulations is a plus.\nProven leadership experience managing teams in complex operational environments.\nExperience with SAP and operational reporting tools.\nFluent Italian and good command of English.\nExcellent analytical-thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nWhere you’ll work\nThis is an on-site opportunity.
