Expression of Interest for Faculty Position in Neurobiology at SISSA (Trieste, Italy)Deadline: 30 April 2026City: TriesteThe Neuroscience Department of the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy, invites expressions of interest from scientists in the field of Neurobiology for a faculty position (tenure-track or tenured, depending on track record) with anticipated start in 2027.The SISSA Neurobiology program (https://phdneurobiology.sissa.it/eng/home.aspx ) includes research on sensory and motor systems, from fundamental to disease‑related topics using molecular/cellular to systems neuroscience tools in a variety of model organisms. It is embedded in the SISSA Neuroscience Department (https://www.sissa.it/research/neuroscience ) and has strong collaborations with experimental and computational scientists in the Genomics and Cognitive Neuroscience programs as well as colleagues in Mathematics and Physics. The working and teaching language of SISSA is English. Lab space and other resources will be commensurate with the appointment. A clear potential to promote and lead research activities, and a specific interest in training and supervising PhD students is essential.
