Responsibility
As a Training Engineer at Vestas, you will play a key role in develop and improving the Training material for wind turbine blades handling and Logistic. If you do not have a knowledge within transporting composite materials, blades parts or whole blades, you will have a high motivation to get it. You will have a keen focus on modern training systems and materials, including process vision or digital enabling systems. The training methods are focused on the receivers, have the factory logistic employees in focus.
Your main responsibilities:
1. Design and optimizing training material within the Handling & Logistic process:
2. Analysis of AS IS and future state of our training material and systems
3. Create Process Roadmap and plans for future states
4. Define training material requirements and specifications if material shall be developed of others
5. Standardization of generic layup training materials
6. Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and responsibility
7. Investigating and solving training issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams.
8. Applying continuous improvement principles using Lean tools to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final training material quality.
Education:
9. Bachelor of manufacturing engineering or alike level
10. Train the Trainer or other training education
Experience:
11. 6-8 years of developing training material mainly for unskilled workers
12. Training of shop floor employees
13. Planning of training - for up to persons
14. Developed / defined functional training material for employees with a short or long education.
Essential skills:
15. Ability to assess skill gaps and define learning objectives aligned with business goals
16. Knowledge of adult learning principles, blended learning, and experiential training formats.
17. Working with engineering managers, and subject matter experts to co-develop content for functional training material
18. Ensuring training aligns with ISO standards, safety regulations, and internal policies.
19. Familiarity with LMS (Learning Management Systems) and e-learning tools.
20. Gathering input from trainees and stakeholders to continuously improve training programs.
21. You are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems
22. Data-Driven Decision Making, use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams.
23. You are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational discipline
24. You find it exciting and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and can build up an intensive network across cultures and time zones and work with stakeholders
25. Be an integral part of cross functional product development projects
26. You are customer-oriented and can understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspective
