A luxury hotel in the heart of Milan is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to oversee the entire pastry kitchen, ensuring consistent quality and creativity. As Pastry Chef, you will lead a team dedicated to culinary excellence, managing day-to-day operations to deliver outstanding guest satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all pastry kitchen operations, guaranteeing high-quality products and consistency.
* Supervise and mentor pastry staff, promoting professional growth and teamwork.
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design innovative pastry menus and seasonal offerings.
* Personally prepare and decorate pastries, demonstrating creativity and technical excellence.
* Control inventory, manage supplies, and monitor food cost within budgetary targets.
* Represent the pastry department during special events, guest classes, and promotions.
* Foster a positive and motivating work environment that supports collaboration and excellence.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and local regulations.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as Pastry Chef or pastry Sous Chef in a culinary luxury environment.
* High school diploma or GED.
* Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.
* Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
* Passion for culinary innovation and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
* Fluent in Italian and English is preferred.
