**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Purchasing of direct and indirect material
- Ensure on time availability of material for production
- Inventory level optimization regarding value and turns
- Continuous improvement of delivery performance of suppliers together with strategic sourcing
- Maintenance of item part master data in ERP
Your main tasks are:
- Planning of material needs with ERP system
- Release orders for direct and indirect material
- Request delivery times and spot prices for materials
- Expedite POs and send delivery reminders to suppliers
- Issue releases for blanket POs
- Confirm delivery dates of material to production planning
- Organize pick-up at supplier (incoming logistics)
- Handle inbound custom declarations
- Maintain and organize waste and recycling process registers
- Contact person and interface to GS/real estate for building maintenance
- Register visitors at lobby entrance
**Background & Skills**:
- Commercial education with technical understanding or technical background with commercial understanding. Professional experience in similar position is beneficiary but not a must. Position is suitable for graduates too.
- Sense of urgency, willing to take ownership and grow in position
- Experience in using Office programs (Excel, Powerpoint)
- Experience in using ERP, ideally SAP
- Knowledge of logistic and supply chain basics is a plus
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications is a plus
- Your English is Fluent
- Nice to have : Italian / German
