Overview:
We are seeking a talented, proactive, and detail-oriented Intermediate Interior Designerwith 2-4 years of experience in interior consultancy (not design and build) to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in design principles and experience working on conceptual interior design projects.
Proficiency in2D draftingand3D modellingis essential, as well as a focus on producing high-qualityrenderings(preferably usingEnscape).
This role involves collaborating with interior designers, architects, and other stakeholders to create visually compelling spaces, developing detailed design documentation, and delivering comprehensive client presentations from concept to execution.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the design team to develop2D and 3D visualizations, renderings, and models for client presentations and project proposals.
Assist in interpretingdesign briefsand conceptualizing creative solutions that meet client goals and project requirements.
Prepare detailed2D drawings, includingfloor plans,elevations, andsectionsusing AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
Createphotorealistic 3D renderingsandvisualizationsusingEnscapeor other rendering tools to help clients visualize design concepts and project outcomes.
Producevirtual walkthroughsandflythroughsto enhance client understanding and engagement.
Client Interaction & Presentation:
Develop and presentcomprehensive design presentations, mood boards, and material boards that effectively communicate design ideas to clients and stakeholders.
Attendclient meetingsto understand project goals and preferences, presenting progress and design updates.
Addressclient feedbackand make necessary adjustments to design plans to ensure client satisfaction.
Developpresentation packagesthat combine 2D and 3D visuals, material selections, and design concepts to effectively communicate the project vision.
Project Documentation & Coordination:
Create and maintainaccurate, detailed design documentation, including specifications, schedules, and material lists.
Ensure all drawings, models, and renderings areup-to-dateand reflect the latest design revisions.
Support senior designers and project managers in managingproject timelines, budgets, and tracking progress.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers tosource materials, finishes, and furnishings.
Assist in managing the procurement and delivery of materials, ensuringon-time deliveryand quality control.
Producehigh-quality 3D models, photorealistic renderings, and animations for design presentations.
UtilizeEnscapefor rendering and creating immersive, interactive visual experiences for clients.
Stay informed about the latestvisualization software, techniques, and design trends to enhance the quality and effectiveness of renderings and presentations.
Material Selection & Quality Control:
Research, select, and presentmaterials, finishes, andcolour schemesthat align with design concepts.
Develop and presentmaterial boards, samples, and finishes forclient approval.
Ensure the accuracy and quality of all design work before submission or presentation, implementing revisions promptly.
Site Visits & Project Execution:
Conductsite visitsto gathermeasurements, assess project conditions, and ensure design feasibility.
Assist in overseeinginstallationsand ensuring design specifications are met on-site.
Monitor project progress to ensure all design elements are installed according to specifications and timelines.
Work closely withsenior designers, architects, and other team members to ensuredesign consistencyand alignment across all stages of the project.
Participate in team brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance project outcomes.
Providementorshipto junior designers and other team members, sharing knowledge and guiding them in design processes and techniques.
Administrative Support:
Maintainorganized recordsand files for all design projects.
Prepareproject-related documents, including proposals, reports, and schedules.
Manageproject-related administrative tasks, ensuring that deadlines are met, and budgets are adhered to.
Professional Development & Trend Research:
Stay updated oncurrent design trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate into projects.
Participate intrainingandprofessional developmentopportunities to enhance design skills and software proficiency.
Research emerging trends and innovative techniques to integrate into design solutions.
Other Responsibilities:
Assist instyling, photography, and othermarketing-related tasksas needed.
Travel for business purposes, including styling, photoshoots, and site visits, as required.
Be available to workadditional hoursoccasionally to meet project deadlines and client needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degreeinInterior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
2-4 yearsof professional experience ininterior consultancy(NOT design and build).
Strong proficiency in design software such asAutoCAD,SketchUp,Revit,3ds Max,Rhino,Enscape, and theAdobe Creative Suite(Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
Proven experience inrendering, specifically usingEnscape, and producing3D visualizations.
Strong portfolio showcasing a range ofdesign projects, including 2D drafting, 3D modelling, and renderings.
Experience with creatingvirtual walkthroughsandflythroughsfor client presentations.
Excellentcommunication, organizational, andpresentation skills.
Ability to managemultiple projectssimultaneously and meet deadlines.
Creative mindset with a strongattention to detailand a passion for interior design.
Professional appearanceand excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
Ability to work independently and proactively while providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Willingness totraveland workflexible hoursto meet client needs.
