About the role
We are seeking a mechanical engineer to join our Engineering department. The successful candidate will work alongside Senior Mechanical Designers, managing projects of after‑sales kits from concept to completion, to develop full autonomy.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:
* Design mechanical components as well as small machine groups;
* Modify already existing machine groups, design mechanical parts;
* Draft relevant technical documentation;
* Support the assembly department for ongoing modifications;
* Strong collaboration with the Electronics Department;
* Design review;
The position is based in Castel Maggiore (Bologna, Italy).
What you need to be successful
To be successful in the role, you must have a strong and keen interest in designing activities and an innate aptitude for working with customers and colleagues. You are a team player.
* Hold a Technical high school diploma. The attainment of a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related is considered a plus;
* Previous experience of at least 3 years, preferably in automation machinery;
* Know parametric designing tools. Understanding of Creo Modelling/ProEngineering and CAD Tools will be considered a plus;
* You are willing to learn SAP and Oracle. If you already have, it will be considered a plus;
* You feel at ease speaking, reading, and writing in English;
* You are thrilled about potential business trips (15‑20%);
* You are handy, flexible, and curious.
