About the Role:

Are you a seasoned sales leader ready to drive growth in a dynamic and expanding global company? Our client, the world’s second-largest manufacturer of Ductile Iron piping, is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Country Head of Sales to spearhead our operations in Italy. This is a unique opportunity to lead market expansion efforts in the water infrastructure sector, working with a global leader committed to innovation and excellence.


The Ideal Candidate:


Experience:

1. 10+ years in the water/utilities industry, with a strong background in sales.
2. Proven experience in B2B project sales, particularly with government and municipal clients.
3. Deep knowledge of piping systems, especially Ductile Iron or alternatives.


Skills:

1. Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
2. Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
3. Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering revenue growth.
4. Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, ASTM, EN, BIS) and regulatory compliance.


Qualifications:

1. University degree, preferably in Engineering or a related field.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute a national sales strategy to meet revenue targets.
2. Expand market presence by onboarding distributors, dealers, and direct clients.
3. Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, municipalities, and contractors.
4. Negotiate high-value contracts and manage key accounts.
5. Lead and motivate the sales team, setting KPIs and performance goals.
6. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
7. Collaborate with R&D and production teams to enhance product offerings.
8. Ensure compliance with industry standards and provide regular performance reports.


Travel Requirements:

This role is based in Italy and will require regular travel within the region to meet clients, attend project sites, and coordinate with internal teams.
