Subsea Technology Specialist
The position involves coordinating subsea remote technological activities, ensuring efficient performance and adherence to safety and quality procedures. The successful candidate will oversee the operation, commissioning, and upgrade of subsea remote equipment on-board vessels at national and international levels.
Main Responsibilities:
* Coordinate subsea remote technological activities and ensure compliance with project requirements;
* Supervise the operation, commissioning, and upgrade of subsea remote equipment on-board vessels;
* Provide technical guidance and report to the Project Operations Manager or relevant departments;
* Coordinate all assigned subsea activities and optimize installation procedures according to project specifications;
* Assist with purchases, sub-supplies, and production of subsea operations within allocated resource budgets;
* Liaise with the Subsea Technology Superintendent for ROV/Remote Equipment Offshore Operations and coordinate interdisciplinary works on-board;
* Supervise subsea remote equipment operations or provide technical support through engineering supervision as required;
* Evaluate potential problems and construction status, ensuring the Subsea Technology Superintendent is informed;
* Liaise with Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer, and Vessel Equipment Engineer to manage on-board interfaces and prevent, assess, and propose solutions;
* Solve matters related to coordination, priority, and interface among different disciplines to meet project scopes;
* Motivate construction crew and subcontractors regarding health, safety, and environment awareness;
* Ensure compliance with standards according to Saipem QHSE Policy and safety procedures.
Qualification and Requirements:
* Master's Degree/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
* Possess strong problem-solving skills;
* Flexible and available for offshore rotation on board vessels at national and international levels;
* High communication skills;
* Teamworking skills;
* Availability for international mobility or frequent missions.
Working Conditions:
* Location: Marghera, Italy; mobility to travel to all international locations for missions
