To support our growing business, activities and needs, we are recruiting a talented Network Engineer to join our team located in Turin, Italy. The Network Engineer will actively contribute to maintain, secure, and monitor the existing network architecture as well as to the design of the future network and its implementation.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and, in some cases designing communication networks within an organization or between organizations
- Ensuring the integrity and high availability of our network infrastructure
- Establishing networking environment by defining, implementing, documenting, and enforcing system standards
- Securing network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access
- Supporting and administering firewall environments in line with IT security policy
- Troubleshooting and fault finding if issues arise
- Fulfilling ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the Company
- Contributing to the definition and implementation of project best practices and quality processes
- Liaising with external provider when network management is outsourced
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Required skills and experience:
- Fundamental understanding of and hands-on experience with network technologies including but not limited to firewalls, content filters, routing/switching, VLANs, and 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless
- Proven hands-on experience and expertise with Palo Alto firewalls or assimilated products
- And/or proven hands-on experience and expertise with F5 Load Balancers or assimilated products
- Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience with fundamental networking protocols including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, VPN, BGP, SD-WAN, etc
- Experience supporting or testing LANs, VLANs, WLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, &/or DHCP servers
- Experience supporting and administering Load balancers, Proxy, reverse Proxy, Firewalls, Routers, Switches
- Proven experience in incident management, service request management and troubleshooting using root cause analysis (RCA) techniques
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Outstanding English languages written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work on shifts 24/7.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience working in a NOC environment
- Experience of using ticketing systems and use of monitoring and management tools
- Experience installing and troubleshooting WiFi networks
- Working knowledge of public DNS zones and Global Servers Load Balancing (Traffic Manager)
- Cloud hands-on experience (Azure)
- Certification in Networking (e.g. BSc Networking, CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, Juniper JNCIA)
