Successful candidates will be instrumental in architecting, designing and developing Firmware/Software solutions that are integrated into cutting-edge wireless technologies and will play a crucial role in advancing JMA FW capabilities, contributing to the development of wireless cellular systems. The ideal candidate will have an excellent technological skillset, as well as strong communication and organizational skills, to successfully contribute to all development phases of new wireless solutions, from concept phases to production. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliCollaborate with System Engineering and Architecture teams to translate system-level requirements into FW/SW architecture, focusing on optimizing performance, modularity, security and scalability /liliCollaborate with Hardware and FPGA teams to define firmware specification, support board design and integration of FW into State-of-the-art SoC solutions /liliDevelop, optimize and maintain FW and SW across multiple JMA product lines /liliContribute to the design of main radio control algorithms, radio applications and main software libraries /liliCollaborate with Integration and QA Teams to develop test cases and test plans to validate the functionality and performance of each wireless product /liliWork with Project Management team to support task break-down, backlog management, effort estimation and planning to ensure development team accomplish committed milestones. Be a primary contributor in all JIRA/Scrum meetings /liliProvide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment, and ensuring growth of the team /liliCreate and maintain detailed version-controlled documentation of Firmware architecture, FW design and features to facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer across the teams and ensure maintainability /liliStay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in wireless field, embedded Software development and radio products /liliThink forward, explore and recommend new tools, methodologies, and techniques to enhance FW/SW development processes and strengthen /li /ulh3Required Skills Experience /h3ulli6 to 8 years of experience in Embedded Software Development. Nice to have experience on wireless applications or embedded radio products /liliSolid experience in object-oriented design and development using C++, as well as full proficiency in embedded software development in C. Nice to have Phyton/Bash scripting /liliDesign and development experience with SoC devices, with FPGA and Embedded Processors is a plus /liliExperience with Linux kernel software, Embedded Linux, RTOS, U-Boot/kernel development and customization, Linux Device Tree, File system operations /liliAbility to design and implement applications using modular, test oriented and scalable solutions /liliExperience with Embedded System Security principles and techniques, security by design and OS hardening /liliExperience with testing and debugging multi-thread embedded systems software /liliFamiliar with lab instrumentations and tools /liliUsed to git and agile workflow is an asset /liliKnowledge of RF systems, signal processing, wireless communication protocols (e.g., LTE, 5G) and challenges in wireless communication /liliKnowledge of Telecom technologies: Sync-E, PTP, IEEE-1588v2, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP /liliFamiliarity with 3GPP RAN specifications and related functionalities /liliStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify future possible issues and take corrective actions, troubleshoot, debug and perform root causes analysis /liliExcellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders /liliAbility to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment /liliHighly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results /li /ulh3Compensation /h3p€45,000 - €60,000 a year /ppbThe annual gross salary for this position ranges from €45.000 and €60.000. /b This range represents the anticipated base compensation.
