Ph3Meet the Team /h3 pIn this role you will work with an international pool of highly skilled people from HW SW Engineering, Quality, Component Engineering, Test Engineering, Manufacturing Operation and Manufacturing Partners. /p h3Your Impact /h3 pThe Electrical Product Engineer supports the development and introduction of new products (High Speed Optics Telecom equipment) leading the manufacturing efforts to define the design for assembly/manufacturability and testability, with the goal to reduce the assembly and test time and increase the overall product quality. /p ul liWork actively with the engineering design team to ensure that product development meets the manufacturing requirements with the goal of releasing zero design defects to production. /li liUnderstand the engineering design verification requirements and ensure that they are met. /li liManage the implementation of PCBAs assembly and fabrication rules (Valor or similar) /li liManage the right implementation of the manufacturing process (assembly Test) of high-end telecommunication equipment /li liWork with High-Speed Optical Module Suppliers to ensure their product met Cisco requirements in terms of technology, testability and DFM rules. /li liManage the product production transfer to manufacturers and ensure that they receive the required level of product training. /li liProvide support to existing products by working with Business Unit, Quality Engineer, Product Line Manager and the Manufacturing Engineers to address quality issues that are impacting Cisco customers. /li liManage technical changes to existing products. /li liActively participate in the Defect Reduction Teams by working to identify and drive to resolution product issues. /li /ul h3Minimum Qualifications /h3 ul li3+ Years of applicable experience in the above area. /li liB.S. or M.S. degree in electronic communication or equivalent /li liDemonstrates proficiency with both electrical and transmission performances test equipment and systems in use. /li liUnderstanding of the entire product introduction process for electronic/telecommunications High Speed Optics equipment and good knowledge of “design for manufacturing (DFM)” rules. /li liUnderstanding of high-speed optical telecommunication system architecture, modulation formats, circuit concepts and standard board design practices.
