Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook - Senior Cook to help us create an exceptional brunch experience. This role requires a deep understanding of Indonesian cuisine and creative menu development. The ideal candidate will bring innovation while preserving authenticity, maintain high food quality and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation & Quality Control : Prepare dishes to a high standard with consistency, creativity, and attention to portioning. Adapt to feedback, special requests, and changing conditions during service.
- Inventory & Supply Management : Manage requisitions, receive and store stock using FIFO, monitor expiry dates, and maintain proper stock levels. Coordinate with vendors and report shortages or issues promptly.
- Hygiene, Safety & Compliance : Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP). Maintain a safe and compliant kitchen environment at all times.
- Team Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service. Communicate clearly and respond effectively to challenges or changes.
- Reporting & Operational Support: Submit daily reports, track waste, conduct audits, and use tools like Excel for basic kitchen admin. Support operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a Cook/Senior Cook role, preferably within a restaurant specialising in Indonesian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian culinary traditions and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per business needs.
