We are looking for a Turnkey Validation Test and Acceptance (VTA) Manager to join our TORINO L1
Torino L1 Metro is a Turnkey project including Signalling and Rolling stock technologies. The object of this project is to upgrade the existing Unattended Train Operation (UTO) L1 metro in TORINO to the new UTO Alstom Fluence Signaling System (wayside and on board), install Fluence on a line extension and deliver new trains. The share of work of Alstom includes from the design to the start of commercial service of the line (including extensions) and the new rolling stocks. In the extension Alstom will interface the civil work, traction, and track suppliers.
The Turnkey Validation Test and Acceptance (VTA) Manager is responsible for the demonstration that the transport system to be delivered to the customer meets the requirements and the performances for the turnkey project he is assigned. He is a key person of the project team, working in close collaboration with a wide range of project members: project leaders, core project team, planning, installation, quality, engineering teams and with customers. In this position, you will report hierarchically to the head of engineering and functionally to the Turnkey platform VTA director in France.
What are my responsibilities?
1. Lead and coordinate all activities related to the Verification, Integration, Validation, Testing and Acceptance of all the subsystems off & on shore
2. Responsible of maintaining the Verification and Test matrix for each design and test phase reviews
3. Leads the verification activities of overall consortium from requirement point of view
4. Prepare acceptance strategy and plans to define the partial completions and final acceptances of civil work infrastructures and System Works.
5. Define VTA objectives and processes to all subsystems
6. Is responsible for the overall management, control, administration and supervision of all VTA related works, services, tasks, activities and actions required to be performed or implemented
7. Leads all interfaces with the third parties, client and authorities related to VTA on behalf of the Consortium.
8. Take decisions and arbitrations in defining the strategy for subsystems and system integration process (compatibility, interoperability, communication protocol, operational scenarios…), by optimizing test programs and by leveraging all integration test campaigns and test platforms along project execution
9. Pilot, in close relationship with project requirement manager, the validation of contract requirements all along subsystems & system integration process, from FAT’s to final acceptance tests, in order to provide all required evidences for final customer acceptance.
10. Pilot test campaigns on-site, both at subsystem and system level, including the provision of temporary operation processes, resources and means.
11. Identify and escalate subsystems / system VTA risks or issues (compliance to applicable standard, conformity to technical specification, compatibility with other subsystems…)
12. Act as main contact person for all stakeholders in regard of VTA activities
13. Report on subsystems / system VTA execution
14. Manage VTA Gate Reviews (GR) from Preliminary Gate Review (PGR) till the Final Quality Approval Review (FQA)
15. Accountable for the Integration, Validation and Acceptance of subsystems by the manufacturers
16. Accountable for the Acceptance of civil works, subsystems / system by the customer / operator
17. Estimate and measure the costs of the platform integration & Validation tests
What do I need to qualify for this job?
18. Graduated from Engineering school - Electrical and mechanical diploma/degree
19. Minimum 10 years working experience on System Engineering
20. Minimum 5 years working experience as VTA Manager
21. Knowledgeable of railway system: electrical power distribution, signaling, communication, Scada and rolling stock system
22. International project experience
23. Rigorous, good organization

25. Fluent in English and Italian as mandatory
