The department takes an inquiry approach to learning Design Technology and as such practical experimentation plays a significant role in learning and teaching in the department.- Students are taught ICT from Grade 2 (IBPYP) and Design Technology from Grade 7 (IBMYP). IS Monza is an International Baccalaureate continuum school offering PYP, MYP and DP.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and teach Design Technology in the MYP and ICT in the PYP. - Lead educational technology initiatives. - Identify and develop relevant teaching resources. - Differentiate lessons to meet individual pupil needs, providing challenge and support. - Prepare engaging lessons and assessments in line with departmental schemes of work. - Contribute to curriculum and teaching improvements. - Utilize diverse teaching methods for online and face-to-face delivery. - Engage in professional development and curricular updates. - Ensure high achievement through effective communication and quality teaching. - Collaborate within the Science department for quality assurance. - Monitor pupil progress and report in line with policies. - Support interdisciplinary learning initiatives. - Promote the Science Department’s work. - Maintain effective displays of pupil work. - Meet deadlines with excellent time-management skills. - Participate in extracurricular activities and support field trips and competitions. - Represent the department and school positively. - Perform any other duties as assigned by the Principal or Head of Secondary.
