The Tempo parziale Facilities and Health & Safety Assistant supports the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of all HFIS campuses. Working under the direction of the Facilities and H&S; Manager, this role ensures that the buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with local health and safety regulations.

Key ResponsibilitiesFacilities and Maintenance SupportSupport the Facilities and H&S; Manager with the coordination of daily maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks.
Conduct regular site checks to identify maintenance issues and report them promptly.
Liaise with contractors and service providers on-site, ensuring work is completed safely and to standard.
Assist with setting up, dismantling, and moving equipment and furniture for school activities, meetings, and events.
Support the coordination of maintenance requests, ensuring prioritisation and timely resolution.
Maintain records and assist with the filing of invoices, quotes, and service reports.
Health & SafetySupport the implementation of the school’s Health & Safety (H&S;) policies and procedures.
Conduct routine inspections of fire safety, first aid, and emergency equipment (e.g., extinguishers, AEDs, first aid kits).
Assist in maintaining H&S; documentation, such as risk assessments, inspection logs, and incident reports.
Help coordinate H&S; training and drills (e.g., fire and lockdown drills).
Support the management of hazardous materials and ensure compliance with local safety standards.
Report and record any H&S; incidents, near misses, or hazards to the Facilities and H&S; Manager.
Events & OperationsProvide on-site support for events, ensuring proper set-up, safety, and venue readiness.
Assist with event logistics such as unlocking/locking facilities and ensuring security procedures are followed.
Skills & QualificationsGood understanding of general building safety
