PpstrongLocation: /strong Milan, Italy – NXP Semiconductors /p pNXP Semiconductors is seeking a strongPrincipal Digital IC Designer /strong to contribute high-level technical expertise in the development of complex mixed-signal integrated circuits for automotive and industrial electrification applications. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liAct as a high-level technical reference for digital IC design within the assigned product domain. /li liContribute to definition and review of digital architectures for complex mixed-signal ICs. /li liSupport architectural trade-offs across performance, power, safety, testability, and cost. /li liCollaborate with the digital verification team ensuring alignment and quality. /li liPromote best practices and standards in digital design. /li /ul h3Product and Portfolio Scope /h3 ul liProvide technical guidance across one or more programs in parallel. /li liCollaborate with architects, product line, and application teams to align technical specifications. /li liFoster reuse and scalability of digital architectures and IPs. /li /ul h3Design Execution and Quality /h3 ul liPerform and/or supervise RTL design, synthesis, integration, and sign-off. /li liReview RTL implementations, design documentation, and sign-off results (timing, power, CDC, DFT). /li liSupport bring-up and debug on first silicon. /li liUnderstand UVM and digital verification methodologies. /li /ul h3Safety‑Critical Design /h3 ul liEnsure compliance with automotive quality and safety standards. /li liContribute to definition and evaluation of digital safety mechanisms. /li liParticipate in safety reviews and analysis with functional safety teams. /li /ul h3Mentoring and Knowledge Transfer /h3 ul liMentor junior designers and support team competence development. /li liShare expertise across teams and international sites. /li /ul h3Required Skills /h3 ul liMaster’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. /li liMinimum 12 years of experience in digital IC design. /li liStrong experience as lead designer in complex projects. /li liExpert knowledge of RTL design (SystemVerilog/Verilog). /li liExperience with multi-clock, multi-power and reset strategies. /li liFamiliarity with synthesis constraints and DFT concepts. /li liExperience in mixed-signal IC environments. /li liUnderstanding of automotive and safety-critical methodologies. /li liExperience with industry-standard EDA tools (Matlab, Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens). /li liFluent written and spoken English. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience with automotive or industrial electrification ICs (BMS, gate drivers, power management). /li liFamiliarity with Digital Signal Processing. /li liExperience influencing technical direction within a team or product line. /li liInternational RD experience. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
