Overview:
**Assistant Controller - Italy** Location: Via Roma 338, Martinsicuro, 64014 Italy **The Role** You’ll support the Finance Controller and make sure reporting, controls, and processes hold up under scrutiny. You’ll run day‑to‑day finance operations for the Martinsicuro site — month‑end, reporting, reconciliations, audits, and supporting the budget cycle. It’s hands‑on, with space to improve how things work. **Responsibilities**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Run monthly and annual reporting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Manage cost accounting, AP, AR, and general ledger work (and possibly payroll).
- Maintain internal controls and support internal/external audits.
- Support budgeting and forecasting and explain variances.
- Prepare regulatory reports for Italian authorities.
- Improve processes and support system or workflow changes.
- Lead and develop members of the finance team. Qualifications:
**About You / What You’ll Bring**
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar; Master’s/CPA a plus.
- 5-8 years’ finance experience, including some supervisory work.
- Strong reporting and controls background, ideally in manufacturing.
- Confident with accounting systems, ERP tools, and Excel.
- Solid understanding of Italian compliance requirements.
- Analytical, organised, and comfortable working across teams. **Nice to Have**
- Manufacturing cost accounting experience.
