Senior Solutions Architect, Automotive & Manufacturing Job ID: | Amazon Web Services, Inc. Overview AWS is looking for an experienced technologist with a balance of technical depth, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to serve as a trusted customer advocate. In this role you will design, educate, and build cloud solutions across a diverse portfolio of technologies, engage in deep-dive discussions and design exercises, and help customers adopt cloud best practice designs. You will interface with senior executive leaders and cloud architects to enable cloud advocacy and migrate enterprise workloads to the cloud, while partnering with AWS teams to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient architectures that solve customer business problems and accelerate AWS service adoption. You will contribute to the broader SA community by sharing best practices, generating technical content, and participating in hiring activities to grow the practice. Travel is open to 25% domestic with some international assignments. Key responsibilities
Interface with senior executive leaders and cloud architects to build relationships and enable cloud advocacy. Design advanced cloud-based solutions and migrate existing enterprise workloads to AWS. Partner with various AWS teams to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. Drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth across a broad portfolio of technologies. Connect technologies to measurable business value and articulate strategic technical solutions to business challenges. Share best practices with peers, generate internal and external technical content, and participate in hiring activities to grow the community.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures. 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with end user or developer communities. Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS. Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud. Experience presenting to executives, IT, management, and developers. Experience designing, building, or architecting AI-powered/agentic solutions, including large language model (LLM) integrations, multi-agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and enterprise-scale AI workflow automation.
