Job TitleAnalog / RFIC Design EngineerLocationMilan, ItalyCompany OverviewA leading global technology company specialising in advanced communication systems, semiconductor innovation, and next-generation connectivity solutions.The organisation invests heavily in R&D; and operates at the forefront of microwave, millimetre-wave, and optical communication technologies, developing cutting-edge solutions across telecoms, networking, and high-frequency systems.Role OverviewThe company is seeking an experienced Analog / RFIC Design Engineer to support the design and development of high-performance integrated circuits for advanced optical and communication systems.You will be part of a fast-paced, international research environment working on state-of-the-art RF, mmWave, and optical IC technologies, contributing to innovation from concept through to validation.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop high-performance Analog / RFICs for optical transceiver applicationsPerform circuit simulation, verification, optimisation, and performance analysisCollaborate with system engineers to define specifications and target performanceSupport and guide layout activities, ensuring high-quality physical implementationContribute to feasibility studies and evaluate different design approachesShare knowledge, best practices, and contribute to innovation within the teamRequirements~10+ years’ experience in Analog / RFIC designStrong hands-on experience designing complex, high-performance ICsProficiency with Cadence design tools and full design flow (schematic → layout → test)Experience with CMOS / SiGe BiCMOS technologiesProven track record delivering IC designs into volume productionStrong understanding of RF/analog design principles and performance optimisationAbility to work in international, cross-functional teamsFluent in EnglishNice to HavePhD or MSc in a relevant engineering fieldExperience in optical or optoelectronic ICs (e.G.
