Position Summary
\nThe Buyer I will be responsible to handle the purchasing activities in compliance with company procedures. Main responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, tracking shipments, creating and maintaining adequate inventory levels and liaising with inventory teams and manufacturing to minimize stock out and supply chain risks. The Buyer I will work closely with other departments to support the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand and production schedule.\n
Duties
\n1.Process purchase orders and follow up deliveries\n2.Source for new potential suppliers and negotiate rates\n
3.Monitor inventories and ensure they are kept at appropriate levels
\n
4.Maintain and update supplier vendor list
\n
5.Work towards department KPI’s
\n
6.Work closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality, R&D;, Regulatory as required
\n
7.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
\n
8.Trouble shot all issues that may occur at any stage of the procurement process
\n
9.Contract management
\n
Education Degree
\nBachelor's Degree in Economics\n
Required Experience & Competencies
\n
\n
- Proactivity, critical thinking, problem solving skills
\n
- Team work approach
\n
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office365 suite), Excel skills such as Pivot Tables, Power Query are a plus.
\n
- Knowledge of Oracle would be a plus
\n
- Good English written and spoken
\n
- 2 year working experience, preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain or Operations
