The Opportunity
The Quality and Safety Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the integrated Quality and Safety Management Systems across the organization, with a strong focus on employee health and safety and the maintenance of company quality standards. This strategic role aims to ensure regulatory compliance, foster a culture of safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Integrated System Management: Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) ensuring cross-departmental integration.
Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with current health and safety regulations, identify risks, propose preventive and corrective measures, and promote awareness and training initiatives.
Quality Assurance: Supervise quality control activities, internal audits, non-conformity management, and corrective/preventive actions, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement projects by analyzing data and KPIs, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing innovative solutions.
Training and Organizational
Culture: Collaborate with the HR department to develop training programs and promote a company culture focused on quality and safety.
Reporting and Communication: Prepare periodic reports for senior management, providing detailed analysis and strategic proposals. Actively collaborate with all departments to ensure effective communication and shared goal management.
Cross-Functional Projects: Support the Managing Director in managing specific projects related to quality and safety, acting as a technical and operational reference point.
Organizational Relationships:
Reports directly to the Managing Director for project-related and strategic activities.
Works cross-functionally with all company departments, acting as a facilitator and coordinator for quality and safety matters.
Office based.
Key responsibilities
Safety:
* Appointed by the Managing Director as Head of the Prevention and Protection Service (RSPP).
* Manage and coordinate all health & safety activities following Legislative Decree 81/2008.
* Develop and maintain the Risk Assessment Document (DVR).
* Promote a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns and training.
* Collaborate with the Company’s appointed medical doctor and cross-functional teams.
* Provide safety support during new employee onboarding.
Quality (ISO 9001:2015):
* Oversee the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
* Coordinate internal audits and support external certification audits.
* Work collaboratively with teams to enhance process efficiency and performance.
* Maintain all quality documentation, including manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
* Lead quality-focused training and communication initiatives.
Possible additional tasks:
* The Manager can be function representative during internal meetings.
* The Manager can be Company representative at Global Group, Proman.
Requirements
* High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
* Required at least, minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and quality regulations.
* Proactivity, sense of initiative, ability to organization and time management.
* Analytical mindset and proactive problem-solving approach.
* Team-oriented with high collaboration skills.
* Mandatory fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
* Familiarity with business IT systems and tools.
* Preferable (but not required):
* Certification as an occupational safety trainer (DM 6/3/2013).
* Internal Auditor qualification for ISO 9001:2015.
