We develop scalable analytics applications, AI/ML products and research models to optimize operation processes. You will work with Product Managers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Research Scientists, Applied Scientists and Business Intelligence Engineers using rigorous quantitative approaches to ensure high quality data/science products for our customers around the world. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team by creating and maintaining the data infrastructure necessary for the advanced analytics and machine learning solutions. /p pOur team solves a broad range of problems that can be scaled across ROW (Rest of the World including countries like India, Australia, Singapore, MENA and LATAM). Here is a glimpse of the problems that this team deals with on a regular basis: /p ul liUsing live package and truck signals to adjust truck capacities in real-time /li liHOTW models for Last Mile Channel Allocation /li liUsing LLMs to automate analytical processes and insight generation /li liOps research to optimize middle mile truck routes /li liWorking with global partner science teams to affect Reinforcement Learning based pricing models and estimating Shipments Per Route for $MM savings /li liDeep Learning models to synthesize attributes of addresses /li liAbuse detection models to reduce network losses /li /ul h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ol liAnalyze data with statistical and ML techniques. /li liDevelop analysis/model in scripting languages (e.g. Python, R) and statistical/mathematical software (e.g. SAS, Matlab, etc.). /li liDevelop science-based Supply Chain solutions. /li liAnalysis/model documentation. /li liLearn and understand state-of-the-art statistical and ML techniques/tools.x /liliLearn and understand Amazon Supply Chain operations. /li /ol h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul li1-3 years of data/research scientist, statistician or quantitative analyst. /li liFamiliar with data analytics in scripting languages (e.g. Python, R) and statistical/mathematical software (e.g. SAS, Matlab, etc.). /li liFamiliar with querying languages (e.g. SQL). /li liFundamental understanding of statistical modeling. /li liFundamental understanding of Machine Learning techniques. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liBackground in Statistics/ML; strong statistical/ML knowledge. /li liGeneral programming capability (e.g. software architecture, design patterns, Docker). /li liKnowledge of AWS services (e.g. SageMaker, Bedrock, ECS, Lambda, CDK). /li liKnowledge of database technologies (e.g. Redshift, Aurora, DynamoDB). /li liFamiliar with Linux environment. /li liFundamental Supply Chain experience/domain knowledge. /li liExperience in building NLP/LLM applications. /li /ul pOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
