Role purpose:
He/she develops custom test applications in LabVIEW per customer requirements and collaborates with the manufacturing team on the production issues.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
* Develop and execute automated tests using the selected tool, which will likely require programming in NI (National Instruments) LabView.
* Support the test automation tool selection for an automated component testing in a NI (National Instruments) LabView/TestStand environment.
* Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture.
* Validate test equipment meets requirements by the MSA studies.
* Work on released production with a continuous improvement approach to improve the quality target with the support of the Test Automation Specialist on a specific product.
* Support the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance during the daily activities due to a production stop.
* Effectively communicate testing activities and findings.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
* Knowledge of programming in LabView / TestStand
* Knowledge of digital communications such as RS232, Profibus, CAN, LIN, GPIB
* Knowledge of data acquisition and signal analysis using instruments such as multimeters and I/O cards
* Statistical methods and tools
* English – professional use
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
* Degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or software engineering
* Basic knowledge of electronic circuit design, firmware design for microcontrollers, radio frequency design
