About the SchoolFrom July 2025, the Keynes Institute is a Cambridge International School in Southern Italy offering Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Lower Secondary programmes.The school delivers the Cambridge International Curriculum, with British curriculum subjects taught entirely in English. This is not an English language teaching role.
The RoleWe are seeking a qualified Primary Teacher with QTS to teach all Cambridge Primary subjects across two Year 1 classes.As in the UK primary system, the teacher is responsible for delivering a broad, cross-curricular programme rather than a single subject.The role involves close collaboration and co-teaching with Italian teachers, in line with Italian paritaria school regulations, and reports directly to the Academic Coordinator.

Essential RequirementsBachelor's degree (MA or MSc preferred)PGCE Primary (Postgraduate Certificate in Education – Primary) with QTSStrong pedagogical and methodological trainingExperience with EAL and SEN pupilsHigh level of professional EnglishWillingness to relocate to ItalyStrong interpersonal skills and a high level of empathy, particularly in working with children and within a collaborative teaching environmentHigh level of precision and reliability in completing assigned tasks and meeting deadlines, with clear and timely reporting to the Academic CoordinatorPositive attitude towards international collaboration and intercultural exchange
Desirable RequirementsPrevious experience in Cambridge International Schools or within the UK education systemItalian Speaking
Professional DevelopmentIn March, the successful candidate will complete Cambridge syllabus-specific online training, fully funded by the school.In June, the teacher will take part in a structured curriculum alignment process with Italian colleagues under academic supervision.
