Position Overview ALLSIDES is scaling our in-house 3D scanning infrastructure and distributed client deployments. We're looking for a hands-on Linux system administrator to be a part of our infrastructure team and own our growing fleet of machines – from scanning workstations and compute nodes to client-deployed systems worldwide. You'll keep our scanning and compute infrastructure running smoothly, improve configuration standards, and gradually automate what's currently manual. You'll work closely with software and infrastructure engineers but own the day-to-day health of our Linux environment. Main Responsibilities Set up and configure scanning workstations, compute nodes, and storage systems Debug hardware issues (storage drives, GPUs, memory, networking) and software issues (drivers, containers, internal tools) Extend and maintain Ansible-based configuration management Provide technical support to engineering and operations teams Build repeatable deployment processes for new scanning stations Document infrastructure procedures and troubleshooting guides Contribute to Infrastructure as Code initiatives Ensure high availability for development and production scanner systems Maintain networking infrastructure across internal and client-deployed environments Requirements Strong Linux system administration experience (Ubuntu) Hands-on hardware experience – comfortable installing and troubleshooting physical components Solid networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills Understanding of how application software interacts with infrastructure (GPU drivers, CUDA toolkits, container runtimes, storage mounts) Ability to work independently and take ownership of system problems Driving license,occasional travel to client sites required Fluent English Nice to Have Ansible or other configuration management tools TrueNAS, ZFS, or enterprise storage experience Monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Netdata, Datadog) Datacenter operations or distributed systems experience Terraform, AWS solution architecture German or Italian language skills Benefits Competitive salary package Flexible working hours Lunch voucher for working days Small team, flat hierarchy Personal and professional growth opportunities Access to a coffee-bar and gym at Durst AG You don’t have to tick every box to apply, your drive and passion matter most!
