It delivers innovative and field-tested science and technology (ST) solutions to address defence and security needs of the Alliance. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liWorking with the IT team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization /li liSupporting the planning, designing, and developing cloud-based applications /li liManaging the cloud environment in accordance with the organization’s security guidelines /li liSupporting the deployment and debugging of cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle /li liLeading and developing best practices for a larger cloud engineering team /li liBuilding and designing web services in the cloud /li liOrchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms throughout the organization. /li liDocument cloud architecture, processes, and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization /li liParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, code reviews, and technical documentation using AzureDevOps or similar platforms /li liWork in cross-functional teams made by scientists, developers and engineers /li /ul h3Essential Qualifications Experience /h3 ul liA minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in an information systems, physics or electronics related scientific or engineering discipline, or other relevant scientific discipline, and 2 years post-related experience. /li liStrong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, Git workflows, code review processes, and collaboration tools (AzureDevOps, JIRA, GitHub, GitLab, etc.) /li liProfessional experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role on major Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) /li liCloud certification from major vendors /li liStrong understanding of cloud security principles, including encryption, identity and access management, network security, and compliance. /li liProficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible). /li liProfessional experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) /li liAwareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks /li liStrong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. /li liGood level of spoken and written English /li /ul pIf you've read the description and feel this role is a great match, we'd love to hear from you!
