Thanks to Space application and services, we can extract information from satellite data offering solution in several domains including weather, geographical survey bringing value in different sectors like health, transportation, government, agriculture, maritime, oil and gas, trading, finance and insurance. /p pEarth Observation gives us the possibility to monitor our Planet Earth and to investigate several challenges the humanity is facing like climate change, the Earth’s natural resources and you, can be part of our team as a technical Solutions Engineer. /p h3Your future duties and responsibilities /h3 ul liCoordinate and support the technical team to identify technical solutions for large scale big data processing in EO domain by: analyzing the requirements, designing SW architectural components, defining product release, identifying HW and SW solutions for products release, researching emerging technologies solutions to address products evolution /li liCoordinate the design implementation by: ensuring a proper sharing and maintenance of technical knowledge, acting as escalation point for technical decision, supporting the technical assessment definition for a proper planning, being responsible for the quality of the deliverable by defining internal review process /li liAct as a Team Member by: participating to code reviews, performing deployments to bKubernetes /b, implementing proof-of-concepts, leading troubleshooting sessions, producing demonstration and training scripts (e.g., in Python), writing user documentation. /li liBe the technical contact point for the client /li liEnsure proper implementation of modern software practices such as bTDD, CI/CD /b. /li liSupport the definition of technical proposals for new business development: identifying possible technical solutions, providing assessment of implementation effort. /li liTeam coaching /li liProvide accurate feedback to your management and corporate stakeholders /li liTaking a keen interest in our journey, not just tasks executions. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role /h3 ul liMinimum 3 years of working experience in this role /li liTechnical competence in the IT Big Data and Cloud domain, e.g. parallel and distributed processing, containers and container orchestration /li liProven experience with different Cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) /li liFluent spoken and written English. /li /ul h3Desirable Qualifications /h3 ul liKnowledge of data catalogues and OGC standards /li liDegree and / or Master in Computer Science or Computer Engineering /li /ul pThe office is located in bFrascati /b, and the position would be a hybrid role. /p pThis is a permanent contract position with the possibility to do part of the work activity in smart working. /p pYou will have the opportunity to work in challenging international projects on space technologies. /p pCGI is an inclusive employer that is attentive to applications from people with disabilities, to the career development of men and women and to the well-being of our LGBT+ employees.
