For an important International Group (Food industry) based in North Eastern Italy (Veneto) we are looking for a SUPPLY CHAIN EXECUTION LEAD.
The role ensures on-time, compliant, and quality-assured deliveries by actively managing supplier performance, coordinating internal stakeholders, and leading problem resolution and escalation processes. Acting as the central interface between suppliers and the organization, the role provides operational control, visibility, and governance across inbound logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Execution & Performance Management
Act as first point of contact for logistics execution issues with suppliers
Own and drive the execution of supplier-managed delivery activities from origin to Europe
Ensure timely initiation of logistics processes up to final delivery
Monitor and manage OTIF (On Time In Full) performance
Identify risks, delays, or operational issues and implement corrective actions
Supplier Management & Escalation
Challenge and influence suppliers to meet contractual and performance expectations
Manage escalations related to delays, disruptions, or non-performance:
1st level: commercial and operational resolution with suppliers (e.g. replacements)
2nd level: crisis management in coordination with internal stakeholders
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate logistics-related activities across:
Product Buyers
Product Planner
Quality Control
Suppliers
Treasury
Freight forwarders and warehouse keepers
Ensure alignment between logistics execution, planning priorities, and commercial commitments
Quality, Compliance & Documentation
Oversee and coordinate Quality Control (QC) activities with suppliers and internal teams
Ensure accurate and timely entry of goods into group inventory, including:
Documentation completeness and correctness
Compliance conformity checks
Ensure VAT compliance and support accounting-related checks
Manage reporting related to deliveries
Invoicing & Internal Transfers
Initiate and coordinate the delivery and internal invoicing process
Work closely with the Planning Manager to ensure alignment on quantities, timing, and values
Requirements – Technical Skills
Background or Knowledge in logistics and supply chain management
3-5y of Experience managing supplier performance in subcontracted logistics models (Preferably from the Food & Beverage sector or industries with a high volume of raw material imports from abroad)
Negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of SAP and Excel
Preferably understanding of Quality Control (QC) processes
Basic knowledge of accounting, invoicing, and VAT regulations
Experience handling commercial documentation and compliance requirements
English Professional Proficiency (written and spoken)
