Overview
As System Administrator you will ensure performance, security, and stability of our IT infrastructure in a dynamic aviation environment. You will support users, manage servers, networks, and M365, and administer core services to keep critical operations running. You’ll monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to disaster recovery planning and security hardening. You’ll collaborate with vendors and internal teams to drive infrastructure improvements. This role offers hands‑on impact in a niche industry with opportunities to shape IT resilience for aviation operations.
Responsibilities
* Provide Level I/II technical support to users
* Manage and maintain IT infrastructure (servers, network, M365)
* Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and core services
* Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, ensure performance
* Manage virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper‑V)
* Oversee network components (VLAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewalls)
* Ensure system security, backups, and disaster recovery readiness
* Support IT projects and propose infrastructure improvements
* Manage hardware/software lifecycle, licenses, and inventory
* Deliver user training and documentation
* Collaborate with vendors and internal teams
* Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Qualifications
* Degree in Computer Science or related field
* 2-3+ years of experience as System Administrator or IT System Engineer
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux environments
* Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V)
* Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, VPNs)
* Hands‑on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Exchange
* Familiarity with cloud storage solutions and Windows OS environment
* Knowledge of Citrix and scripting (PowerShell) is a plus
* Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
* Team player with ability to manage multiple priorities
* Willingness to travel
* Italian nationality or valid residence and working permission for Italy
