Italy is the Group’s Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products. Responsibilities and tasks In cooperation with the Country General Counsel and the National Trade Compliance Officer Be responsible for laws & regulations expertise Provide proven expertise on local & foreign export control laws & regulations, sanctions, embargoes, restrictive measures & soft laws Synthesis & reporting (external & internal) Record accurate data on licenses and controls to anticipate and prepare internal and external reporting, including KPIs Act as a reliable internal partner to support business & Management for Trade Compliance issues and relevant analysis Assess the exportability of proposed solutions during bids and manage all Trade Compliance aspects during project implementation Secure in scope trade compliance effectiveness with related records keeping according to internal processes and policies TC risks assessment: provide analysis and recommendations to management to support Trade Compliance position Policies & processes implementation: support managers in implementing policies, guidance, restrictive measures and screening policies; liaise with supervisory authorities and professional organizations Contribute to audits with accurate records, report suspected incidents and breaches Restricted Party Screenings: perform recurring and systematic checks with relevant analysis and escalation; ensure traceability of screening operations Classification (product, solution, service): advise and support business on products’ classifications and ensure traceability and record keeping; support license determination and approval Customs management: advise and support business on classifications and ensure traceability of operations in line with export controls Record Keeping: ensure appropriate reporting and record keeping in accordance with law requirements and Thales rules Skills, experience and qualifications Knowledge of Export Control regulations and procedures (Italian, EU, US, etc.) for military and dual-use goods Ability to analyze project/product constraints in terms of exportability Ability to perform and assess due diligences and restricted party screenings Knowledge of IT tools needed to perform exportability analysis Knowledge of main contract clauses and INCOTERMs and their impact on liability from an export control standpoint Experience with ERP Trade compliance modules (SAP GTS, Oracle GTM) implementation and usage Behaviors Displays passion, energy, drive, agility and resilience in achieving work-related goals under difficult circumstances Ability to interface well and influence effectively at all levels with customers, partners and suppliers Leadership & team management; able to work with other stakeholders in a collaborative manner Communication skills to establish partnership with other functions and explain Trade Compliance issues Knowledge of sales, engineering, industrial, services and supply chain processes Ability to manage complexity; diplomacy and determination Curious & enterprising; anticipation, autonomy, rigor & pragmatism Experience 5-7 years as Trade Compliance Manager Job Location Gorgonzola - Italy with missions abroad Italian English (fluent) J-18808-Ljbffr
