Duties and Responsibilities
: Supporting a branch’s sales team including creating sales documents and proposals, qualifying customers, researching leads, responding to routine inquiries and information requests, generating reports related to sales activities and revenue data Manage customer inquiries and prioritize customer requests that arise if Sales Representative is out of the office Present price and terms to customers in accordance with standard company procedures Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner, while educating customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction Create strong leads via cold calling, by monitoring Journal of Commerce/newspaper reports and site visits Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction. Maintain up-to-date profiles of key customers, sales and rental contract documentation within our CRM software Contact customers following sales/rentals to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints Remain current on consumer preferences, competitor landscapes, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, and/or reading trade journals. Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction Build and demonstrate product knowledge of Black Diamond Group’s products and key competitive product lines in order to effectively position products. Use this product knowledge to provide technical sales and service support to customers within the territory Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing or Commerce; 2 years plus of sales experience in a sales or customer service industry; Demonstrated ability to create new business opportunities and develop clients in the market; Experience within oil and gas, construction, government, military or mining; Must have a valid vehicle class five driver’s license; Must have strong computer skills including the suite of programs within Microsoft Office; Overall strong proficiency and aptitude within technical fields with CRM software, including Salesforce is preferred.
