About the Position
The successful candidate will assist experienced teachers in planning and executing engaging lesson plans, ensuring a smooth learning experience for our students. This involves collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum, preparing educational materials, and maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with teaching staff to design and implement comprehensive lesson plans.
* Prepare and maintain educational resources, including art supplies, books, and educational equipment.
* Engage with students, promoting social skills, emotional intelligence, and cognitive development.
* Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
* Minimum 6 units of ECE coursework or equivalent experience.
* Assistant Teacher Permit or qualified.
* CPR and First Aid certification (may be completed upon hire).
* Provide TB and Physical Health clearance prior to hire and every 2 years thereafter.
* Fingerprint background check clearance through Community Care Licensing.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and sitting on the floor to engage with children at their level. The Assistant Teacher must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and respond quickly to the needs of children in both routine and emergency situations.
