Position Overview
This position is responsible for managing, organizing, and overseeing the warehouse and logistics of materials used for the production, integration, and testing of satellites and space systems.
In the space sector, the warehouse is not a "regular" storage facility: it houseshigh-technologycomponents, oftenflight hardware(intended to fly in space), which must be handled usingrigorous and fully traceable proceduresin compliance withinternational standards(e.g. ECSS – European Cooperation for Space Standardization).
Main Responsibilities
Warehouse management:Organizes, coordinates, and supervises all logistics activities (receiving, storage, handling, and shipping).
Material reception and inspection:Verifies the conformity of received materials (CoC, CoM, technical documentation), in collaboration withQualityandProduct Assuranceteams.
Traceability and inventory control:Ensures full traceability of every component through ERP or management systems, keeping inventory records updated and accurate.
Proper preservation:Guarantees that all materials are stored in compliant environments (humidity and temperature control, ESD protection, cleanroom conditions).
AIT support (Assembly, Integration & Test):Manages the flow of materials between the warehouse and the integration/test areas.
Shipping and transportation:Prepares documentation for national and international shipments, including flight items, ensuring compliance with aerospace requirements.
Procedures and standards:Implements and enforce internal procedures applicable national/international andECSSstandards.
Audits and inspections:Participates in internal, customer, and agency (ESA/ASI) audits, providing evidence of compliance.
Safety and quality:Works closely withProduct Assurance,Quality, andProgram Managementteams to ensure compliance and reliability of all logistics processes.
Experience inaerospace logisticsor otherhigh-reliability environments(aeronautics, defense, high-tech).
A minimum of two years' experience in the above-mentioned role
Knowledge ofECSS standardsandProduct Assurancepractices.
Ability to workautonomously, with strong attention to detail and traceability.
Proficiency indocument managementand use ofERP/MRP systems.
Expertise inflight hardware handlingandESD/cleanroom procedures.
Strong coordination and communication skills for collaboration with technical and project teams.
Good English knowledge (written and spoken).
Driving license: category B
Preferred Qualifications
Experience inSmall Satelliteprograms.
Familiarity with ESA / ASI processes and documentation requirements.
Knowledge of ESD handling and cleanroom operations.
Training or certification in Quality Management or Aerospace Logistics.
