Local Unit & Position Description:
The section **Sustainable Food Systems and Supply Chains**, established in Milan in autumn 2021, addresses a new research program within **Group Research and Development (GRD)**. GRD has five other research programs: Future of Digital Assurance, Maritime, Energy, Ocean Space and Healthcare.
The new research program / section will focus on supporting the growth of our supply chain and product assurance services by leveraging digital solutions for the meeting UN Sustainable Development Goals. Key areas for our R&D; are footprint documentation and management, transparency in circular material use, optimization of food production as well as food safety, prevention of fraud in supply chains and the related digital technologies for collecting, validating, verifying and visualizing relevant data in real/right time.
**Position responsibilities**
- Generate ideas and develop concepts and prototypes for future assurance services
- Write scientific publications and white papers
- Manage projects in time, cost and quality
Position Qualifications:
As **Specialist Supply Chain Sustainability**, you ideally have competences, experiences and qualifications in the following areas:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience addressing sustainability objectives using footprint and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methods in one or more of the following areas: environment, energy efficiency, biodiversity,health and safety, social, governance.
- At least two years experience in using and/or developing LCA and digital technologies (in data generation, consolidation, validation and analysis) for providing footprint and sustainability claims in real/right time.
- Excellent understanding of fundamental drivers for change in sustainability approaches within the supply chains
- Excellent skills in driving innovations from concept to prototype
- Good command of English
- Master degree or above in relevant area, in relation to program focus areas
