As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Oleochemical Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing activities across Europe and globally.
Role DescriptionThe Oleochemical Procurement Manager will lead strategic sourcing and category management for oleochemical feedstocks and derivatives across Europe and globally.
This role combines regional responsibility with global category leadership, covering the full oleochemical value chain. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing supply, managing market volatility, driving value creation, and supporting Innospec's sustainability objectives across the oleochemical value chain.
The role is remote with flexibility on the base location within Europe, with regular international travel.
Main ResponsibilitiesMarket Intelligence and Feedstock MonitoringMonitoring and analysing global and regional oleochemical and feedstock market dynamicsTracking regulatory and sustainability developments impacting sourcing strategiesPublishing market and price trend insights to support procurement and business decisionsRepresenting the company at key industry conferences and forums
Strategic Sourcing and Category LeadershipDeveloping and implementing regional and global sourcing strategiesIdentifying and mitigating supply chain risks through alternative sourcing and supplier developmentLeading competitive tenders and cross functional category initiativesWork closely with R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sustainability teams
Negotiation and Value CreationDefining and leading negotiation strategies at regional and global levelsDelivering year on year cost savings and a sustainable value pipelineBalancing cost optimisation with supply security and long term supplier partnershipsSupplier ManagementBuilding and manage senior level relationships with key oleochemical suppliersMonitoring supplier performance across cost, quality, service, and sustainability criteria
Person SpecificationEducationMaster's degree (or equivalent) in Business, Procurement, Engineering, Chemistry, or similar
ExperienceStrong background in oleochemical or chemical raw materials procurementDeep understanding of feedstock markets, price drivers, and supplier dynamicsProven experience in strategic sourcing, complex negotiations, and international procurementComfortable operating in a global, matrix organisation
