We were meant to fly.Essential ResponsibilitiesCapture system requirements and flow them down to assess component architecture and key characteristics.Collect, bargain, and release technical requirements of components such as pumps, filters, valves (thermal, bypass, relief), tanks, heat exchangers (additive manufacturing or conventional), cooling fans, and sensors (pressure and temperature).Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross‐sections, 3D models, tolerance stack‐ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.Lead and execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned components using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.Ensure design and hardware deliverables to internal and external customers, embracing Avio Aero design execution quality, within the deadline agreed with system engineer or program manager, respecting the entire product lifecycle from concept through design reviews, prototype, certification, field introduction, investigation, and sustaining.Issue technical documents related to component design according to engineering policies and procedures (presentations, analysis reports, deliverables, certification reports, design record books).Proactively lead and support as a presenter in technical and program reviews with senior engineers, program leaders, external companies, suppliers and customers.Prepare test plan and define pass/fail criteria; post‐process, acquire, elaborate, deduce, and correlate data with physics phenomena.Be accountable for source technological substantiation and non‐conformity assessments (MRB).Drive activities related to development findings, component performance and investigations, including test requests, test data post‐process, and laboratory investigations.Qualifications / RequirementsHigh School Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics or related STEM field from an accredited institution.Robust knowledge of fundamental mechanical design concepts, mechanics of materials, design hand calculations, hydraulic and electrical disciplines.Knowledge in defining fluidic and electric component design intent, leading analysis, supporting reviews, procurement and validation throughout the product lifecycle.Knowledge of MRBs and investigation in mechanical and electrical components.Previous proven working experience on fluidic components (valves, pumps, filters, pipes, sensors, fan, heat exchangers) and fluidic systems (fuel, oil, air), preferably in the aeronautical sector.Fundamental knowledge of CAD (preferable Unigraphics) and Geometrical Dimensional & Tolerancing (GD&T).Practical use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Great accountability, collaboration and interpersonal/communication skills.Capability to interface with internal departments and manage technical relationships with external companies, suppliers and customers.Fluent English and Italian.Valid work visa in accordance with local regulations.Desired CharacteristicsActive team‐working capabilities.Highly motivated, passionate, curious, and enthusiastic about engineering challenges.Technical presentation skills (synthesis or details according to audience).Clear thinking, system mindset and problem‐solving skills.Knowledge of aviation component certification process.Knowledge of NX, Ansys, Matlab, Simulink.What We OfferSmart working and work‐life balance: hybrid work options and programs to preserve psychological safety and daily needs.Performance‐related bonuses and local bonus scheme.Flexible benefits platform.Life and injury insurance, private medical coverage, employee assistance program.Special awards, local agreements and discounts.English and language training for employee and one family member.Technical, leadership and development trainings.Inclusion & diversity initiatives.Equal Opportunity EmployerAvio Aero is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and we are strongly committed to maintaining an inclusive and diverse environment.
