About The Role As a Logistic Specialist, you will ensure that inbound and outbound transportation activities are planned, coordinated, and managed following production schedules while optimizing costs and minimizing risks. You will support logistics and transportation operations to meet the needs of both internal and external customers, working across multiple transport modes and international flows. Your role will involve close coordination with procurement, project teams, and external service providers to ensure efficient and compliant logistics execution. This is a full‑time position, performed 100% onsite. You will report to the ITER Operations Manager and be located in Monfalcone, Italy. You will be fully onsite. Key Responsibilities
Support the Procurement department in defining the scope of service, bidders list, and supplier selection for transportation and logistics‑related services Manage inbound logistics transportation flows, including:
National and international road transport (standard vehicles, couriers, and exceptional vehicles with permanent permits) Exceptional transports (oversize and overweight loads) International sea and air transport
Manage outbound logistics transportation flow for road, sea, rail, and air shipments at national and international level Plan and design packaging solutions for materials that will ship to customers for multiple jobs and orders (outbound logistics). Manage external packaging suppliers operating within the Mangiarotti S.p.A. facility Issue packing lists related to materials shipped for customer orders Plan and organize shipments for jobs and orders to be delivered to customers Issue and manage required transport documentation for inbound and outbound shipments Verify and archive transport documentation (telematic archiving) to support the AFC function Support Commercial, Project Management, Purchasing, Engineering, and other internal partners with transport and packaging estimates, pricing, and feasibility assessments during offers, purchasing activities, and opportunity cost evaluations
Qualifications
High school technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Economics 0 to 3 years of experience as a Logistic Specialist Knowledge of technical drawings Experience or knowledge in supplier negotiation Strong computer skills, including MS Office (particularly Excel) Fluent in Italian and English proficiency at an intermediate level
