We maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Amazon Warehouse Delivery Network. /p pWe are looking for a motivated technician who enjoys working in a team. The job is about maintaining our equipment in a safe way to a high standard. Focusing on planned preventative maintenance, you will engage in mitigation of risks by proactively addressing and resolving issues. Raising the availability and quality of the equipment is the daily job. Our technicians focus on our operational team, their customers, with support from the team and their leaders. /p pShift Pattern: This role includes working in a non‑traditional shift pattern, which may include nights and weekends. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liPut health safety best practices first in all work carried out ensuring compliance with all health safety standards and regulations. /li liCarry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site. /li liReact quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue. /li liSupport continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager. /li liProvide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers. /li liSupport and learn from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians. /li liManagement of contractors. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liServed a full Engineering indentured Apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject (City Guilds EAL, SVQ/IVQ, BTEC all at Level 3). Please be prepared to provide proof of qualifications obtained as part of Amazon’s Terms of Employment. /li liMulti‑skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines. /li liExperience of planned preventative maintenance systems. /li liExperience fault finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems. /li liExperience in interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings. /li liExperience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience of high voltage switching. /li liExperience of sortation machines. /li liExperience of maintaining/configuring bar code scanners. /li liExperience of print and apply machines. /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
